Where to Fish Skeeter Lake


Lake doesn't seem very promising-shallow, weedy. There doesn't seem to be an inlet or outlet - little chance for spawning. The entire bottom seems to be heavily silted. 60-70% Of Lake covered with lily pads. '89 fish 14.9" was in good shape. Saw no other fish. Water temp was warm - 66of. '94 fish were fat and healthy with lots of abdominal fat. No sign of repro. '99 fish had been eating mosquito larvae. M anderson 9/99 saw 13-14" gr's near shore. Gr planted '85. G Owens '04 no fish seen. 2012 FWP survey NO fish caught. 14 hr net set. 2017 FWP 12hr set no fish, big leeches
