Where to Fish Sunlight Lake

Sunlight Lake


The lake sits just above timberline in an open basin. The shoreline is roughly 60% rock and 40% grass. The lake was about 1/2 covered with ice during the 7/23/14 survey. Yellowstone cutthroat trout were doing well and very abundant when surveyed in 2014.

Directions Follow the Cattle Trail up the north fork ~3 1/2 miles from the maintained trail up sweet Grass Creek.
