Lost Creek
  1. Opens noon on May 15. Walk-in from established roads. The Lost Creek WMA covers 1,600 acres located on the north side of Lost Creek, surrounded mostly by forest service lands. The majority of the area is approximately 1,200 acres of open bunchgrass rangeland at elevations from 5,600 to 7,200 feet. There is also a north slope stand of Douglas Fir forest of 160 acres that provides important thermal and hiding cover for wintering elk.

Directions:
From junction with Montana Secondary Highway 273 and Lost Creek Road, drive 4 miles Northwest on Lost Creek Road. Turn right at mailboxes onto unmarked dirt road and proceed to the WMA.
