Marshall Creek Wildlife Management Area

Marshall Creek
  1. The Marshall Creek WMA is open to public use year-round including motorized travel on open roads, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, horseback riding, mountain bicycling, and general enjoyment. Wheeled motorized vehicles will be restricted to the designated open road system (no wheeled motorized vehicles allowed off roads or on closed roads) year-round. Currently, approximately 35 miles of road are open to wheeled motorized use during the snow-free season (roads are not plowed during winter). Snowmobiling is allowed throughout the WMA but is restricted to designated open roads 4/1 through 11/30. Camping is allowed year-round but limited to a 16-day maximum stay. Fire restrictions may be implemented, as wildfire-risk dictates. Firewood cutting is restricted to dead or downed trees only. Users must obtain an FWP-issued firewood collection permit to remove wood from the WMA. Permits are also required for use by groups of more than 15 people, for any commercial activity, and for trapping (firewood, trapping, group-use, and commercial-use permits are available by calling 542-5500).
