The WMA is composed of Milk River riparian habitat with associated shrub and grass riparian areas.
  1. Vandalia WMA is located southeast of the town of Hinsdale approximately 3 miles, along the north side of the railroad tracks. The WMA is composed of Milk River riparian habitats, offering cottonwood and green ash tree galleries, with associated shrub and grass riparian areas, as well as oxbow cattail wetlands. The WMA is accessible via Highway 2 east of Hinsdale, then south on Farassen Road, and then east southeast on Ash Coulee Road along the north side of the railroad tracks.
