Tallus Lake

Tallus Lake sits in alpine lake basin that includes six lakes located in the South Fork Hilgard Creek drainage within the Taylor Hilgard Unit of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness.

Elevation:	9564.48 ft
Directions:	Use the Beaver Creek Road FS#985, located north of Quake Lake off of HWY 287 to access the Potamogeton Park Trailhead. Take Sentinel Creek Trail#202 to Trail#201 which heads into the Hilgard Basin. Follow the trail past Blue Paradise Lake up over the ridge to the lake.
Status of the Fishery:	Status unknown. Currently presumed to be fishless. There is a chance that fish could reach Tallus Lake from a connection to Hilgard Lake, which lies above. FWP last visited the lake in 2006 and found no fish.
