Where to Fish Asteroid Lake

Intent of plant is to allow GT to move downstream. Good outlet for spawning, nice gravel. Good food base, lots of aquatic invertebrates. Fish planted in '91 were .9" 0's and 4.7" age 1's. 2.5 hour net set in daylight in '01. Water level was low. 1982 plant apparently did not take. Ralph Saunders reported no fish in 1987 and netting in '91 failed to show any survival. Glen Owens 7/99 - no fish. Access is both long and difficult. The lake plateau can be reached from any of 4 Trailheads, Woodbine, west stillwater, upsidedown and box canyon.
