Where to Fish Lone Elk Lake


Grayling probably drifted downstream from the sky Top Creek lks or from Rough Lake - none have been reported since 1973. Inlet has excellent spawning. D. Arneson 8/86 caught many 5-8" eb, no gr's. '73 netting - 7 eb ave. 9.1" 6.0-16.5", along with the two grayling listed above. '89 creel cards 14 eb <8". D Hagenston reports 6-8" EB's - average condition. Lots of average size brookies here. 2012 FWP survey 2 people angled 2.25 hrs.

Directions Hike down outlet stream from Long Lake to near lady of the lake. Then to Broadwater River. Stay on west side of sky Top Creek to lone elk lake.
