Where to Fish Fox Lake


'89 - the fish were quite healthy looking. Thousands of .5 - 3" fry seen along shore. 1 gr 9.3". 15 eb 6.3-13.8" ave. 9.2". 5 RB 8.8-14.3" ave. 11.5". A few grayling make it down from Cliff Lake. Check on changing relative abundance of the 3 species of fish in this lake. '89 take was similar to '81 but w/ 6.7" ctx. '89 creel cards 1 CT 12-16" range, 20 RB 8-16" range, 14 eb <8-16". No sign of '88 fire. M. Barrett 9/91 - 3 anglers for 3 hours, no fish caught or seen. Two nets set in 1998. Fish were thin to average. Surveyed 08 2 nets 5 hrs. No fish caught or seen.

Directions Usfs Trail #567 from Kersey Lake. Trail from Kersey is excellent. The trail to fox lake forks right off #567 1/4 mile from the lake.
