Mud Lake is located in the Selway Creek Drainage in the Beaverhead Mountains. Mud Lake is shallow and unable to support fish.

Directions From Highway 324, turn onto Forest Route 181. From Forest Route 181, turn right onto USFS Rd. 919. Take a left off of USFS Rd. 919 to USFS Rd. 7405. Getting to the lake will require bushwacking ~1.5 miles up the Ore Creek Drainage.
Status of the Fishery Mud Lake is currently fishless and is not suitable for fish.
