Lake provides recreation for elk hunters. Much of this area was burned in 1988. '89 net set for 5 hours in the afternoon. 1,300 CT's planted in '76. Stocked every 8 years. Not very 'pristine'. '88 fire may have hurt fishery. Let this one go till scheduled 1992 plant. 2012 FWP survey 12.5 hr. net set 0 YCT caught or observed.

Directions 4x4's can drive to independence and drop into Slough Creek, Lake abundance Creek Trail-rock creek-outlet creek.
