Directions: | This lake can be accessed from the Spanish Creek Trailhead off of HWY 191 and south of Gallatin Gateway. It can also be reached from the Bear Basin area near Big Sky. |
Status of the Fishery: | This lake supports a wild self-sustaining Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout and Rainbow Trout hybrid fishery. FWP sampled the lake in 2011 and the sizes of the fish ranged from 8.2-16.5 inches. The inlet of the lake provides good spawning potential and natural reproduction occurs at the lake. |
