Where to Fish Black Canyon Lake


Lake gets a fair amount of use so stocking every 6 years. 2017 FWP sampled 17 YCT in a short day set. Lots of ice still floating in the lake at time of sample. Fish were in pretty good shape for right after ice out.

Elevation 9397.2 ft.
Directions 9 miles up the lake fork of Rock Creek. Trail is maintained for 8 miles then up west side of valley.
