Swamp Lake is not your typical â¿¿swampâ¿¿lake. It is a deep cold lake that that has mostly a talus shoreline with only few stunted conifers in the area. The best access is across private land. Brook trout are very abundant here.

Directions Private road on the Grosfield ranch. Access from the Big Timber Creek ranger station is difficult. Using only public lands to access the area would require many difficult miles of hiking.
