Lower Twin Lake is a popular and accessible mountain lake located in the North Meadow Creek drainage in the Tobacco Root Mountains.

| Directions: | Take the South Meadow Creek County Road#29 to North Meadow Creek Road#31 from HWY 287 near McAllister. At the forest boundary the county road changes to FR#160, then take FR#965 until it ends. From there take Trail#340 to the lake. |
| Status of the Fishery: | Lower Twin Lake contains wild self-sustaining populations of both Brook Trout and Rainbow Trout. This lake was previously stocked with both Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout and Rainbow Trout. Stocking ceased in 1985. |
