Special Notices & Closures

Fishing Report for the week of 06/29/2026

The weekend was wet, but the rainbow trout fishing has been great while using various nymphs and streamers near the Gates of the Mountains. On the lower end of the reservoir, boat anglers have been catching good numbers of trout while trolling flashers and spinner combos. A few nice walleye and perch are being caught inside the Canyon, near Cottonwood Creek, and around the Clay Banks while pitching jigs and crawlers, trolling bottom bouncers and worm harnesses, or using slip bobbers and leeches. Some anglers are catching a few walleye from the docks at the BLM boat ramp with jigs and worms. A few kokanee salmon are being found while trolling various flashers with wedding rings or Hoochies tipped with corn near Split Rock and just above the Dam. A few northern pike are being caught around weed beds while casting spinners or spoons.
