Morrison Lake is located in the Upper Big Sheep Creek Drainage in the Beaverhead Mountains. Morrison is a deep, clear lake with no inlet or outlet. A primitive boat launch can be found on the east side of the lake, but motorized boats are not allowed. This lake does see a lot of human traffic including Continental Divide hikers and fall hunting outfits.

| Directions: | Exit I-15 at Dell and head west on the Big Sheep Creek Scenic Byway to the upper basin. Turn onto USFS Road 3920 and take it to the lake. The road can be in rough shape especially when wet. |
| Status of the Fishery: | There is no natural recruitment in Morrison lake which results in large Westslope cutthroat several years after stocking. Cutthroat average close to 16 inches when sampled in 2018. The lake needs to continue to be stocked in the future. |
