Lake located within Sun River WMA, opened to public May 15th- Nov 30. The pond relies on overland flow to fill and due to poor snow the last few years the pond has dried up enough to kill the pond. The pond will be restocked when it refills.

Background:

Jason received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Maine and a Master’s of Science in Fish and Wildlife Management from Montana State University. He has worked for FWP as the Great Falls area fisheries biologist since 2014. Prior to that he worked as a fisheries biologist for 6 years, sampling streams and rivers throughout the west. Jason enjoys exploring all the fishing opportunities Montana has to offer with his dedicated dog, Kilgore.
